Change policy

Changing policy is one of the most powerful ways we can address sex trafficking. There is a desperate need for the punishment of a perpetrator to match the severity of their crimes. MOST has identified partners who are fighting to improve policy across the United States in order to make it as difficult as possible for a trafficker to buy or sell another individual, thus resulting in increased punishment and accountability for this heinous crime.

Adapting, enhancing, and improving policy not only increases punishment for perpetrators but also begins to address and prevent human trafficking. The more work we can do on the prevention end of trafficking, the less work we will need to do to interdict and rescue survivors.
